StarSpecial : Education Guide on 6th June

Selesai meneliti beberapa point-point penting yang berjaya aku dapatkan daripada StarSpecial daripada akhbar The Star yang bertarikh 6 Jun 2012. Informative, as always, expected from English newspapers.

How to make the most of your application

Ini column, special guide untuk mereka yang fikir nak pursue study di United Kingdom. Aku nak quote beberapa lines yang aku suka ya, so check-it-out ….

One thing to remember about UK University courses is that you specialise from day one – you have to choose your specialisation before you start. The should give you a clue as to what they are looking for students who can demonstrate a genuine interest in, and skills or qualities necessary for your chosen courses

Ini education di UK. What can I say, their education is depth but not wide if you are going to compare it with education in US (betulkan kalau aku salah).

The next question is : How do they know you have theses skills & qualities? In your applications, you write a 4,000-character Personal Statement – this is your only opportunity to convince someone, and expert in this field, that you are going not only to cope with the courses but also that you have the potential to become a successful doctor, lawyer, economist, or engineer. Many top universities then refine the search furher by interrviewing students and extra entrance test

Ini sedikit… pergggghh. 4,000 patah perkataan tuu kalau nak buat Personal Statement / Resume nak masuk ke universiti di UK.

Medic @ Russia – Changing the perception

Sedia maklum buat sebahagian daripada students dan juga kawan-kawan aku, Medic @ Russia akhir-akhir ni aku dan kawan-kawan aku dengar, diorang ni sepertinya agak kurang sedikit jika dikira nilai competency mereka. Ada ura-ura mengatakan laah, kalau buat Medic @ Russia, balik ke Malaysia nanti kena sit for MQE – Medical Qualifitory Examination.

Kali ni, The Star sepertinya ‘membersihkan’ reputasi diorang.

A Russian medical degree is recognised by the Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA), World Health Organisation (WHO), Unesco & The European Union

Tapi, hati-hati bila baca apa-apa artikel pasal education ni. Sila perhatikan di bawah setiap artikel, ada advertisements (iklan) tak. Dalam hal ini, ada…

Manage your time

 Haaa, no comment.

Selain itu, ada beberapa yang tangkap perhatian aku.

1. Android smartphone challenge – SPM students @ KBU
2. Kolej Tunku Ja’afar – International stream : IGCSE & A-level
3. Medic ED
4. Edexcel International
5. KidzGrow
6. Diploma vs Degree

That’s all. Rugi kalau tak baca, lagi rugi kalau tak start beli the Star atau NST.
